Accepting Unconditional Love

The Via Dell’Amore or Trail for Lovers is the hiking trail along the cliffs of Cinque Terra in the Italian Riviera connecting the five small villages here.  In this place is where I experienced unconditional love. As I approached the trailhead, I needed to pay five Euros to enter the trail to an attendant. As I had no change but 20 Euros, I asked everyone who came by for change.  As no one had any change for 20 Euros, a Danish couple came off the trail who also did not have change, decided to pay the five Euros for me to get on the hiking trail.

I try to remember that each of us serve as an ambassador from our country to others who don’t know us, and this is also our opportunity to show unconditional love to others.  Since I now no longer demand love from others, this love comes freely to me.  Although I am alone in a foreign country, I feel fearless and at home here.

I was intended to journey alone as every spiritual journey must be traveled alone.  Aloneness and solitude is where we come into touch with our Divine self.  It is only through this aloneness that will we learn nonattachment before we are able to love unconditionally.  Through our Divine self, we learn self love and only upon loving ourselves can we begin to accept love from others and return that love to them unconditionally.

While staying in my hotel in Monterosso in Cinque Terra, I met a sculpture teacher and musician from California. During our dinner together, we met another single travelers who is studying to be a jazz pianist also from California.  I also met two Italian metal and jewelry artists.  My energy tends to attract artists and musicians who are in tuned with their spirituality.

My connection with these individuals helped me feel great love within myself.  I feel so blessed! ~ Brooke  (Copyright 2013 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)
