Dance Meditation

I have taken different styles of dance throughout my life, and I so enjoy self expression through dance. Recently, I began taking tango dance lessons.  The difference between tango and other forms of dance is that there is this slow methodical rhythm to this dance.  You can close your eyes, feel your body and feet moving to the slow beat of the music.  It has a trance-like feel to this dance.

Imagine yourself hearing this slow rhythmic beat, feel your arms around your partner, while both gliding smoothly on the dance floor moving as one.  When both partner are synchronized, it is like all the planets aligning, and everything flows in perfect harmony. The moment is still, quiet, and peaceful in the mind, and we are totally in the moment of the dance. It is truly synchronized beauty in the physical realm.

Dance is a wonderful form of meditation and grounding as a form of emotional therapy.  It can help remove emotional blockages in our chakras and energy body.  If you ever want a form of emotional therapy and great exercise, take dance lessons.  You will not regret it!
