Being Ready to Give Love

Image

Our childhood experiences so impact our decisions as adults. This happened to me in regard to having children. I witnessed my parents who were so emotionally wounded that they were unable to give love to themselves or others.  As as result, they taught me and my sibling self loathing and self hate.  Each parent must give themselves self love before they can give unconditional love to their children.  Without learning self love ourselves, we cannot teach this to our children.

Even as a child and later as an adult, I understood intuitively that I was unprepared to be a mother as I had so much self loathing and unresolved emotional pain and hurt within me.  As each layer of this emotional pain is removed during my recent emotional healing work, I come closer and closer to learning to love myself by accepting myself for who I am, and appreciating all the qualities I possess regardless of the mistakes I made in the past, or the flaws in my personality.

I finally have come to a point in my life that I feel I have love to give to a child.  We must feel ready to love, and have this great love within us in order to give this love to another.  In fact recently, I intuitively feel there will be children in my life, although maybe not my own.  I feel this great joy in knowing that I will not leave this physical life without the experience of being a parental figure to a child.  I am grateful to be given this chance to give this love that I now have in my heart for another.  Infinite love, Brooke (Copyright 2013 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)

  1. Even if one has received abundant love there is no guarantee that one is automatically ready to give love to ones child – this is not in my view an intellectual exercise but a biological urge – after a child is born begins the process of bonding – or again during pregnancy – the bonding automatically produces chemical and emotional reactions which grow into love whether one has received love or not – so there should be no thought of whether one will be able to love or not – that is something that comes as a gift from nature to all.
