Recently, an artist friend has decided to change the direction of his creative method and expression in his art form. This has gotten me thinking about life in general, particularly as it relates to spirituality. When we practice spirituality and ascension work, isn’t that what we are essentially doing? We are changing in a dramatic fashion how we feel about ourselves and live our lives.
As we progress in our ascension work, the transformation in our lives is truly a rebirth as the Christians speak of being “Born Again.” As I have personally experience such a transformation recently, I can see how my life is transformed and reborn from the pain and hurt of my past to experience a new life of joy, bliss, and peace. This change in my life as been so dramatic in that I left a marriage that was not right for me, let go of an unhealthy relationship, moved to a new city, began a different career, and changed many friends who no longer suit me.
I now live with little fear in my life, have good self esteem, set healthy boundaries with others, feel really happy and peaceful in my life while alone, and can share love, time, and resources with others freely. All this arose out of a childhood full of pain and hurt from sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. When we experience this rebirth, we are reborn of the soul to remember who we truly are within.
