PATHWAY TO JOY AND HEALING

Women in the American society have been viewed in stereotype.  We are either perceived as St. Mary or Mary Magdalene that is we are either the Divine Goddess placed on a pedestal or the prostitute who should be shunned.  I say this because this is how many women in our society are perceived and treated, and how I personally have been treated.

In this experience, women may be perceived as being all “good” or all “bad”.  Ironically, the “bad girls” are the ones who sell products and services, and the stereotype is that if you buy this product or service, you will get one of these women.  Women are not seen for who we truly are.  Whether strong women who are educated, intelligent, talented, and outspoken, sweet women who are compassionate, kind, demure, and soft spoken, or some combination for these.

It’s through ignorance and even domination and control of women by a patriarchal society that pigeon hole women into these categories, so that we can never been seen for who we genuinely are.  This truly saddens me as women will continue to be oppressed under this patriarchal system.  The Divine Feminine is returning, and it is upon this return that our society will break from this illusion of women in these stereotyped roles that we are forced to play.  When we break free from this illusion, we will finally live in a more balanced and healthy world.  May you find the Divine Goddess within you, Brooke (Copyright 2013 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)
