Awakening is living with eyes wide open of our own reality through mindfulness. It is seeing what we may not want to see about ourselves and our realities. It is coming to acknowledgment and acceptance of where we have been in our past, and what we must do to overcome that past to move onto our future of wholeness. It is becoming who we want to become and leaving our past behind.
Awakening can be a bitter sweet experience. Those who we have known in our past begin to change in our eyes as we are quickly changing. What was familiar is no longer familiar now, as our own vibrational frequency is changing to a higher vibration. It is a strange sensation of living my own life, but living as a different person. It is difficult sometimes for the mind to adjust and grasp.
This gift of awakening has accelerated my emotional growth, albeit out of necessity, as we suffer physically and our energy becomes out of control when we refuse to do the necessary healing work. It is at the same time, a gift and a curse. The struggle to move forward, sometimes out of desperation, has rewarded me with the gift of peace.
It is the one thing I asked for as a child to feel this peace to free me from my suffering. I have awaited many lifetimes to experience these blessings through grace, and I am honored and awed by these blessings bestowed upon me. I am eternally grateful for all that I have received.
