Guided by Our Intuition

I have been involved in major decisions in my life during the last few months as I have been interviewing for other jobs.  My intuition tells me that it is time to move on from my current job, as there is clear writing on the wall, and I have been dissatisfied with my current employer.

Soon after I my decision, I received an email from someone I know asking me to apply for a position in her office.  I have been applying for many jobs recently, so I didn’t think much about this position.  During the course of the job application process, I overlooked submitting a writing sample, so I felt for sure that I would not be invited for an interview.  I called this person to explained my situation, and to my amazement, I was invited for a first interview, and then a second interview.

I have traveling all over the country for job interviews and there is always something seriously wrong with these positions, as my intuition has been telling me about these problems.  I try not to prejudge these jobs prior to an in person interview, and during these interviews, my intuition tells me things about these individuals with whom I may be working.

The timing is one factor I look at that guides me in my decision.  I tend to use factor not within my control to guide me through my intuition, such as the supervisor, the colleagues, resources available, etc. during my interviews.  I trust my intuition to guide me to the best direction for me, and find my way toward my future.  (Copyright 2014 Living Wide Awake with All Rights Reserved)
