PATHWAY TO JOY AND HEALING

I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, and I have seen this within my own life.   For the past year, I had been interviewing for another job.  Because of the difficulty of my job and my even more difficult supervisor, I decided that it was time to go!   About two months ago, I believed that I found a job that was right for me near where I currently live, and even bought a house.  Well, after my second interview there, I did not get the job offer, and rumor has it that my supervisor had a hand in this.

Well, I felt dejected, frustrated, and disappointed with my situation, particularly now that I have a mortgage to support.  My future felt very uncertain and I felt a lot of fear and anxiety.   Soon afterwards, my college decided to hire another staff member for my office, and I believed this person was intended to replace me.  After interviewing the candidates, I do not believe this to be the case as I have met them, and am not at all concerned.

Within two months of losing that job opportunity, I found out this week that my supervisor has been forced into retirement.  This was a shock to me as I had no idea that this was even possible, never mind probable.  My life has been a series of these events where things don’t work out because it was not intended for me, and future events show clearly what is.  Now, I will be getting a staff member to help me, and my supervisor is leaving to retire.  This was a big lesson in learning about surrendering to what will be and not resisting to what is to come.
