The Nature of Soulmates

th (23)

In my past posts, I discussed the concept of soulmates.  The use of “soulmates” has come to mean our true love in our society, but soulmates can be anyone who incarnates with us in our soul group. It can be our dear friend, a family member, or someone we’ve met who “just get us,” and share an intense soul connection and deep love with them.

I have discovered that we may have many soulmates on this physical plane for a reason.  We attract soulmates based on our vibrational frequency.  Where we are in our emotional state and healing translate to a certain vibrational frequency.  At that vibrational frequency, we attract certain soulmates with similar vibrational frequency.

Our soulmates are compatible with us in many ways such as spiritual, energetic, mental, intellectual, and may share similar interests and beliefs, but do not necessarily have a sexual connection with us.  There is a deep level of comfort and familiarity with them, but the connection may be platonic and not intensely romantic or sexual in nature.

I came to understand the nature of soulmates when I married mine.  We were very compatible and we lived a peaceful, loving, and stable life, but we lacked the intense sexual connection.  As I healed my emotional wounds and recovered emotionally, I fell out of love with my soulmate, as we no longer vibrated at the same vibrational frequency, although I still love him very dearly in a platonic way.

This happened to me several times in this lifetime, and I began to realize that soulmates are not always romantic, although the soul connection and deep love we shared never went away.  Deep down, I wondered if that love was ever a romantic one or just a secure and safe place to rest my soul?  (Copyright 2015 Awakening Journey with All Rights Reserved)
