When we are in relationships, our egos prevent us from observing or seeing these relationships clearly. Many of these relationships are karmic relationships that we attract to teach our souls the life lessons that we are intended to learn in this lifetime. Many times, these same situations may have repeated earlier in this lifetime or in a previous lifetime.
We may have been involved with the same soul or different souls with similar situations or dynamics. Just because we have not encountered the soul of this relationship in past lifetimes does not exclude them as karmic relationships. It is our actions and behaviors chosen by our free will that attract them into our lives for our souls to learn our life lessons.
How do you know if you are in a karmic relationship? These karmic relationships show a pattern of negative behaviors in our lives. For example, do we engage in extramarital affairs or cheat on our partners, whether emotionally, romantically, or sexually? Do we resort to escape or avoidance to cope with our lives such as addictions, denial, or blaming others? Do we harm others through lying, cheating, stealing, emotionally manipulating, or physically hurting others? These are sure signs of a karmic relationship whether it is you who is doing it or being done to you, and many times, it is both.
You also know it is karmic because these relationships are filled with drama, very much like watching a bad soap opera unfolding. Your ego will convince you that these relationships are soul connections, twin flames, or soul mates, but in time, reality will prove these karmic relationships to you as everything that flow from these relationships end in suffering, failure, and chaos.
