I bid farewell to you,
The mermaid and the manatee,
The tide rise to send you off,
And your wake no longer lingers.
Calm seas in resilient light remain,
Reflecting the moon’s joyous phase,
Still love retains at farewell,
So a fond good-bye with a smile.
Our parting comes so timely,
Your purpose to show me the way,
Never meant to hurt or offend,
Our time has come to an end.
We meet without mistake,
I am grateful to partake,
Finally I let you go,
Set you free so I can grow.
