The Power of Forgiveness

Recently, I forgave someone who wounded me, but who I loved for many lifetimes.  The purpose of this forgiveness I understand is that we both made some hurtful mistakes with each other as we were never meant to be together, but we tried. Karma brought us together to help us resolved our past and heal our hurts, and this was the reason for our encounter.

I saw him recently that in the past would have caused me fear and memories of our hurt.  Now, I see him fondly at a distance and say hello to him in my thoughts.  I wish him well in his life, and no longer harbor anger or resentment.  When I forgave him and let him go, so went the anger, resentment, jealousy, bitterness, and grudge. I believe I saw him because of synchronicity to show me that I have healed my wounds.

I think I am finally able to pass him on the street and have a neutral feeling of fondness.  This also is true for others who wounded me, and I forgave.  Although they are no longer part of my life, I feel fondness for how they helped me move forward on my spiritual ascension and journey.  I am eternally grateful that they were brought into my life because I needed to see the truth about myself and overcome my internal pain.

My gratitude is infinite when I finally realized what they have taught me.  I am stronger, and more resilient now, and I have found peace and joy in my life.  I let go of all that no longer serves me, and at the end of the rainbow is happiness. They say forgiveness opens up new opportunities, new beginnings, and a better mind set, because to forgive another including yourself, is the ultimate gift you can give, “Sometimes what we think is Love and rejection, isn’t what the other person thinks. We ALL overthink and never allow ourselves that opportunity to discover that LOVE , is a gift we give and it comes with many levels of understanding, towards another (Beautiful post x )
