Farewell, Another Lesson in Letting Go

I dedicate this post to those I encountered on my spiritual journey thus far.  This is my message to them:

Thank you for showing me the wrong path, so I can find the right one.  I am grateful you reflected back all the hurt and pain I held within me, and could not let go.  Thank you for forcing me to let go.  Because of you, I no longer make the same mistakes and stopped looking externally for the solutions for my life.  You showed me that I have the power within me all this time.

Although you are no longer in my life now, it is only walking through shear darkness of my wounds, pain, and past that has rewarded me with the light in my current life.  You were part of my dark past, and you showed me that I no longer want to dwell in that darkness.  You are my life lessons, and I thank you for showing me the way.

As dark as my life was, you showed me that I have the power to choose a different path through love, compassion, and kindness towards myself.  When you could not give me that love, I was forced to give it to myself.  This is what I needed to learn from you.  Only my own self love will sustain me, and no amount of love from others can fill that void.

All the trials and tribulation I endure with you gave me the strength to handle the hurdles and hardships in my current life, and how strong I have become because of you.  I have derived self esteem and worth through the shear survival of these trials and tribulations.  What did not kill me, did make me stronger.

I do not wish you ill in the end, as I do not want to see another being suffering in our world.  May you find love, worth, compassion, and kindness for yourself.  I hope you learn as I have learned that blaming others for our own failures only hurts ourselves.  Other don’t care if we blame them, as they have moved on without us!  When we take responsibility for our own lives, we derive power, self worth, self esteem, and self love.

Farewell to you as I have finally found my path forward, and have found my true purpose, joy, peace, and self love in my current life.  Be well, be happy, and I hope you find your path forward through love, compassionate, and kindness for yourself.  Only you can free yourself from your past.
