Dreams During Covid-19

th (1)

I’m certain that I’m not the only person experiencing strange dreams during the “Shelter in Place”/”Stay at Home” period of this Covid-19 crisis.  In most of my dreams, I am with strangers in crowded places such as an amusement park, shopping mall, or busy streets.  In these dreams, people were everywhere in crowded or confined spaces.

During the first several weeks of confinement, I missed being around people, so I felt comfortable with throngs of people around me in my dreams.  However, as the weeks progressed when many of the communities are reopening, my dreams involved panic and anxiety while among the crowds of people where I had forgotten my hand sanitizer, my face mask, or other essential items needed during the Covid-19 crisis.

As the weeks progressed, some of my underlying fears and distress from my childhood were triggered. However, to my shock and surprise, I was empowered in my dreams.  During these dreams, I spoke my mind, confronted my perpetrators, and defended myself against my latent demons. This was completely the opposite of what I expected, as I frequently had nightmares as a child.

Some may disagree, but I believe dreams are subconscious ways our minds address, resolve, and confront issues that our conscious mind cannot or will not.  Our subconscious mind tells us about what is happening in our reality when our conscious mind cannot grasp the magnitude of our reality, repress or suppress our reality, or consciously deny our reality during our waking hours.

My dreams have run parallel with what was happening in my reality, and although, I couldn’t resolve or confront what was happening, my subconscious mind through dreams forced me to look at this reality.   So what do we do with these dreams?  I have been acknowledging my fears and anxieties, and accepting these feelings and thoughts through a technique I use called, Emotional Release Practice.

If we use our dreams to address what our conscious minds cannot, we may be able to delve more deeply into our unaddressed emotional/psychological issues.  On the other hand, dreams are just dreams. We can simply acknowledge that we may have some subconscious desires that are unfulfilled in our conscious lives, and just leave it at that?  Some desires, we may wish to fulfill, but some desires we simply may not.  May you find meaning in your dreams, and may you be safe and well during these difficult times! 1. It is amazing how we can interact on so many levels. Each part of us bringing that understanding within.
I have learned to speak with my higher self by coming up out of sleep slightly in the early hours of the morning and practically chatting about things. In the beginning very little happened but after many weeks of attempting it, it began to become clearer and clearer. It is incredible what we can do when we try.
It is all an amazing journey, thank you for sharing dear lady 😀 ❤️ 🙏🏽 🦋
