I am posting comments from one of my kind readers who is also on his spiritual journey reminding me to give myself compassion. It is this kindness that makes our spiritual journeys tolerable. Thank you Jamie from my heart. His comments are as follows:
I think the thing about judgement from my view is (and this is coming from a person who used to always heavily judge both himself and others!), is that ultimately as human’s, we’ve all made mistakes all over the place, we’ve all hurt each other before, so my feelings are more like ‘Ok – we’ve all messed up! how can we help heal and move on?’ I think it’s especially easy for the people who have a lot of blockages (sorry for my terminology – energy blockages/inner problems) to judge others because they constantly feel bad about so many things, so they emit that onto others.
One thing I think is very difficult for us to do is love those who are attacking you or doing harm to you! I usually don’t have a problem letting it go when they’re away from me but it’s happening it’s a nightmare!
anyway this bit is a reply to what I read on your other posts: Think how far you’ve come from the dysfunctional relationships and from your troubled childhood
? You have travelled such a long way! Through so many problems! So please try to go easy on yourself sometimes because you have worked hard!
A lot of us here on these wordpress networks are doing inner work, but rather than always focusing on the mistake we made, sometimes just spend some time focusing on the Great things we have made progress in, to allow some feel-good for your self. I feel if we can generate a positive feeling in our own heart, it will naturally radiate onto others.
I think what I’m getting at is that sometimes when a person is judgemental, they are also very judgemental about themselves too (…and expect a lot of themselves), but really things are going so well! Progress is being made rapidly so they can afford to be a bit softer on themselves.
Keep up the inner work!
Jamie
