Coming to Acceptance

After weeks of grieving the loss from my past, I finally have come to acceptance.  Acceptance is a strange feeling in that we no longer feel regrets, yearn for a different outcome in our situation, or wish for something we cannot have.  I discussed in an earlier post the stages of grief and loss. They are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

For most of my life, I spent in the denial stage about my childhood trauma, since I could not truly feel this pain although I was consciously aware of my childhood abuse.  For over two years, I went through the anger and bargaining stages.  During the past few months, I finally experienced the depression and sadness of my grief and loss.  Throughout the past two and a half years, I used my “Emotional Release Practice” found on the tab of my Blogsite Homepage for the stages of anger, bargaining, and depression.

The most difficult stage for me was the depression stage because the repressed emotional pain buried deep within my painbody was difficult to access, and once I accessed it, it was intolerable at times to feel.  It was no different than feeling physical pain where touching the wound sent searing pain to my awareness.   Pain is pain no matter how we feel it.  It is this repressed pain that must be released before we finally can experience acceptance and peace in the situations in our lives.  May you find acceptance and peace within, Brooke (Copyright 2013 Kundalini Spirit with All Rights Reserved)
