Appreciating What We Have

There are many times in our lives we want what we don’t have. Once we get closer to what we want, we begin realize this is really a fantasy that we have created within our own minds.

We are not delusional or unreasonable, but this is just how our minds work. What we need to do in these situations is to face what we believe we want in a realistic way. We may need to try and live this reality.

When we don’t allow ourselves or those we love to seek out these “greener pastures,” we will always wonder what we missed out. The healthiest way to deal with these situations is to find out for ourselves as no one can convince us otherwise.

The biggest mistake is to keep wondering without exploring those possibilities and find out for ourselves. When we do, we will finally discover what we truly have in our lives is precious and special, and we should really appreciate what we already have.
