PATHWAY TO JOY AND HEALING

The spiritual journey can be a mysterious one.  There are times when the path is obscured or is unclear.  This is particularly true for ourselves.  We appear to be able to see the paths of others much more clearly.  Because of our egos, it distorts our ability to see the truth about our own paths and futures.

As I have been on my spiritual path, it has unfolded in ways that I did not expect, and had no way of knowing.  It has been such a journey of twists and turns.  As I have been aware of walking on this path for the past four years, I have begun to observe signs along the way.  They are not only through feelings as my feelings also are distorted by my ego.

As we learn to read these signs, the signs become more obvious and clear as we encounter and learn to see them.  These signs may be unnoticeable if we are not aware of them.  They are small encounters or chance events, what we may call coincidences.  Watch for these coincidences are they are not coincidences at all, but signs along our path.

Other signs indicate that events are not intended for us when there are huge obstacles or hurdles in our way. I do not mean that we must work hard, or make an effort in our careers, relationships, or situations.  They are obstacles usually not within our control, and we must make great efforts to make things work out.  This is usually the sign of ego trying to fit our life situations within ego’s expectations and desires.

What I have found is that when we try to fit our lives into ego’s expectations and desires, the careers, relationships, or situations will fail. This is from direct experience as my relationships failed when I tried to make these long distance relationships fit into my life, but they were not intended for my soul path.  I changed my career because I chose a career that made a lot of money, but it did not fulfill my soul purpose.

All these experiences were tough and painful life lessons that have encouraged me to heed the signs along my spiritual path.  I look for signs along my path now, sometimes there are multiple signs pointing the same way to my future as our journeys are not a straight path.  May you find the signs along your path.
