Spiritual Blind-Spot

zspot

During my recent vacation, I had an opportunity to reflect on a strange phenomena that I have observed.  It is what I call the spiritual blind-spot. I have observed this within myself as well as others. My psychic abilities seem to work well involving others, but when it comes to my own life. I appear to have a blind-spot, and unable to see clearly situations related to me.

I believe this blind-spot has to do with our egos that can even block our psychic abilities.  I have observed this phenomena with others with intuitive and psychic abilities as well.  We are blinded by our ego’s desires and dependencies.  Ever wonder how psychics or intuits can be cheated on, betrayed, or duped?  How can this be, you ask?  These individuals have the ability to see through those trying to cheat, betray, or lie to them.

However, all psychic and intuits also are human and have egos that may be quite inflated.  Our egos are our down fall that desperately cling to love, desires, and dependencies. Even when we may sense something is wrong, we dismiss our intuition and tell ourselves that our loved ones would never lie, cheat, or betray us. Maybe we simply don’t want to see the truth.

Here lies the irony that we cannot use our intuitive abilities to our own benefit.  I believe that once we release our egos, our world will become clearer and clearer to us, even if it is one we may not want or be prepared to see. (Copyright 2015 Awakening Journey with All Rights Reserved)

  1. Hmmm. I don’t have this blind-spot. Now I can’t pick lottery numbers for myself (or others really!) but I seem to know a whole heck of a lot about my own future and I get told things about my own future by my Council. It is not 100% accurate, but neither is it when I see things for others. It is probably 75-80% accurate, though. I agree that it is completely ego-related. Perhaps if one can step away as the observer, the ego has less of an impact and thus they can “see” much more for themselves?

  2. I never said I never fell into that trap – definitely did – but over time I have learned to differentiate between the voice of Ego and the voice of Knowing (Higher Self). 😉
