PATHWAY TO JOY AND HEALING

I want to share something I learned recently about sharing energy fields as I have been working with a Reiki practitioner.  It is very easy to inadvertently transfer energy when working within another’s energy field.  When we share energy fields, there also is a false sense of intimacy perceived either by the practitioner, or from the client as this happened to me recently.

I am not saying that the practitioner intentionally transferred her energy as it is never so clear.  When we have unhealed parts of our emotional landscape and thus, this translates to certain frequencies within our energy fields, we attract like frequencies with the same emotional wounds.  When this happens, we created energetic attraction with others, and very easily may transfer energy between the two.

During this period of working with this Reiki practitioner, I felt her fears and codependency.  This made me very uncomfortable as sharing energy with her has caused transference of her energy to me, and me to her.  After practicing any energy work, there needs to be a period of cleansing and separation so that we do not enmeshed our energies.

Recently, this Reiki practitioner asked me to change my interactions with others and asked whether I am willing to do that as she feels others are negatively affecting my energy field.  Even if I am willing to change my interactions with others, it is my decision and I certainly do not owe her any explanations.  I am paying her to help me remove chakra blockages only and not for her to run my life. I have since decided to terminate treatment with her, as I feel uncomfortable with her request, and her fears and codependency have been felt within my energy field as well.

After her request, I asked my higher self, what I should do?  The answer came to me that I should terminate my work with her as she may have engaged in energy transference.  When practicing energy work is it very important not to enmesh our energy with our client’s, and after each session to properly separate and cleanse our energy field from the client’s field.  (Copyright 2014 Living Wide Awake with All Rights Reserved)
