I have writing this blog for nearly two years now, and I have been sharing my spiritual journey with all of you. This journey for all of us is about finding our path home to our higher selves, essence, or source. My journey is no different than Hansel and Gretel lost in the woods looking for bread crumbs to find their way back home. The path is our spiritual journey, and the bread crumbs are the guides and synchronicity helping us navigate this path.
As you recall in the story of Hansel and Gretel, they were left to die in the woods by their evil step mother with the agreement of their father due to scarcity of food. Hansel and Gretel had an arduous journey trying to find their way back home, full of fears, dangers, and obstacles involving the witch who eat children. This story is very familiar to many of us on our spiritual journeys full of fears from our childhood from the actions and behaviors by our parents.
In order for Hansel and Gretel to return home, they must forgive their father for what he did, abandoning them in the woods to die. The old witch symbolized all their fears hidden in their psyches that they must overcome in order to outwit the witch and to escape from her clutches. This is the story of my spiritual journey returning to my parents through forgiveness, love, and overcoming the fears of my past.
From speaking with others on their spiritual journeys, there is no single path or method. Each person must find their own way through different modalities and methods of emotional healing. My blog shares my methods and healing modalities, but they certainly are not the only methods. What is similar on all spiritual journeys is that we each have our obstacles, then overcoming these obstacles through emotional healing, and finally returning home to our higher ourselves, essence, or source. May you find your path back home. (Copyright 2014 Living Wide Awake with All Rights Reserved)
