This period of my spiritual healing work has much to do with my emotional projections. Emotional projections involve identifying your current life situations and people in your life with traumatic or negative events from your past.
For example, I was abused by my father, so I seek to identify men in my life now who I would project this traumatic experience, and fear then rises within me as I encounter them. I may react in fear and try to run away, I may lash out at them, or I may even blame them for my past trauma during my current experience with them.
As I observe and reflect upon this, I begin to understand that this is the suffering that I live with in my current life. When I run away from one of these men, there are many more around the corner. It is clear that I am causing these projections within me, and placing these roles and blame onto these men.
A case in point involves a man who somehow reminds me of my father, but after reflecting upon who he is, I realize that he is nothing like my father. He currently is attempting to heal himself, he no longer engages in infidelity, and he is creating a very different relationship with his daughter that did not occur between me and my father.
When we look closely and take off our blinders, we begin to see that our projections are not really rooted in reality, but it is our minds’ way of coping with past trauma. As I work deeper and deeper through my energy blockages within my energy body caused by my past emotional wounds, I am beginning to remove my blinders and see my world more realistically.
These revelations are allowing me to forgive them, and even see my own father in a very different light. This is allowing me to let go of the hurt and wounds from my traumatic childhood. Each day requires hard work and reminders that my life is my own creation, and I can choose to live with suffering and illusions, or live in peace and harmony.
