Driving Out Darkness

He-who-accepts-evil-230x214

Could it be possible that my calling to work at my current college is to drive out the darkness dwelling within?  Three years ago, I heard a calling to move to a remote town in the mountains to work at a college with sexually and physically assaulted students.  During these three years, I struggled to get help for these students for their traumatic experiences with no staff, budget, and little cooperation from my colleagues.

My supervisor refused to allow me to hire staff or provide a sufficient budget until recently. My colleagues created difficulties and attempted to have me fired for doing my job.  I tried to leave this college, and was about to be offered another position at a nearby college, but someone from my current college interfered with that hiring process.

At this college, I feel this dark presence that lingers within here, and the energy feels like death. For three years, I tolerated this dark presence in order to help these students with their trauma.  This past March, my supervisor and the President of the college was asked to leave her position.  This was such a shock, and so hard to believe after 11 years of her torment of the employees and students here.

Was my role here to drive out the darkness dwelling within?  Since this past March, I have experienced a shift within me and many dark presences left my life.  I do not believe in coincidences, so my transformation during the course of these past three years provided the strength and endurance to drive out the darkness that dwell within my life.
