True Joy

“Most people think happiness is about gaining something, but it’s not.
It’s all about getting rid of the darkness you accumulate.” – Carolyn Crane
Only until recently have I experienced true joy as I have finally rid the darkness that I have accumulated over many lifetimes.  This darkness is the karma, emotional wounds, and other injuries I held within my soul.  How do you know if you have darkness within?  You may experience emotional, physical, mental, or energetic pain within you.
Emotional pain can be triggered when something in the present remind us of a past injury. That injury may be from abandonment, rejection, loss, abuse, or any other negative life experiences.  This emotional pain may rise unexpectedly many times a day.  Physical pain may be chronic or acute pain and many times there are no logical explanations for this pain.  Mental pain is experienced through mental conditions such as phobias, mental disorders, fears, or anxiety.  Energetic pain is most obvious during the rise of Kundalini energy when we may feel excessive amounts of energy that are blocked in our chakras and energy systems.
I have experienced all the above forms of pain that is from some form of darkness accumulated over many lifetimes.  Over the course of the last four years, I was able to heal many of the pain beginning with energetic, then physical and mental, and finally recently, I healed a huge part of my emotional pain. I have shared many of my recovery processes in the tabs identified on top of my Blogsite homepage.
In recovering from my emotional pain, the biggest change is that images, thoughts, and memories that I associated with my past emotional pain no longer effect me.  In the recent past, I felt excruciating pain, and my thoughts would ruminate over these images or memories from my past emotional pain, and resulting in more pain in my present day. I realized that I healed this emotional pain when I am no longer feeling it or reacting to it.
What I have realized is that pain is a sign to stop doing whatever we are doing that is causing us this pain.  Once we have been wounded, however, we need to face this pain in order to release it.  Releasing this pain within is releasing the darkness associated with this pain. When we release this darkness, we feel pure happiness and true joy in our lives.  It is quite amazing now that I can find true joy and see images and memories through different lenses that caused me terrible pain earlier in my life.  (Copyright 2015 Awakening Journey with All Rights Reserved)
