Learning Self Worth

When we begin to look within, we realize the whole world is within us. The way we respond to our world and how we feel are never external.  I believe that I am about to take a giant leap forward in my soul evolution.  It is my soul realizing its value, what I bring to others, how I effect change in the world, and my true abilities.

It is important to distinguish between self worth and ego.  Ego is the need to put other down in order to feel better.  Self worth is to feel good about oneself, and for others to feel good about themselves as well. When we finally realize our self worth,we no longer tolerate hurtful, disrespectful, and inconsiderate treatment.  We learn to walk away without anger, resentment, or jealousy because we simply let them go.

I have had many very  painful relationships that I am now just letting go without negative emotions.  It is a release of these people from the pain in my heart, and saying good-bye with fondness that they taught me self worth.  In letting the pain go, I recalled how they put others before me, lied to me, and deceived me.  These were the betrayals and breach of trust I faced in my past relationships. Once we truly experience that pain again, it is then released.

Today, I decided that I no longer want to hold onto this pain because I am worth more than my pain.  It is the final step in letting go of my past.  It is moving forward to those who value my time, friendship, and energy.  I am worth their time for those who want to be with me, care for me, and love me.  If they don’t, it is time to release them, and say good-bye. I deserve better, I deserve love, and I deserve respect.  This is my journey of self discovery and self love.  May you discover self love on your journey.
