Grounding Techniques

During my recent work on emotional healing, I have experienced a type of cycling of emotions almost like a roller coaster of bliss and sadness while working through some deep rooted issues involving my father.  The sadness feels like despair of great loss that chokes me up.  During these situations, my energy runs really out of control triggered by this emotional work.

I am attempting to regulate my energy by continuing my emotional release practice found at the tab on my Blogsite Homepage.   It feels like my emotions are triggering these energy bursts, and I can’t release this energy fast enough creating difficulties sleeping or concentrating.

I also am using grounding techniques to cope with this where I sit quietly and imagine the roots from my root chakra going into the earth and my energy flowing downwards while breathing deeply and slowly.  Try this to see if this grounding technique works for you.  Other ground techniques include sitting or lying on the earth, listening to quiet music or doing artistic work, Chi Gong practice, yoga practice in sitting or lying down positions, acupuncture, or Reiki work in releasing excessive energy.  Try these techniques when your energy gets frenetic or excessive.  Good luck!  (Copyright 2014 Living Wide Awake with All Rights Reserved)
