My spirituality did not come from my family or my ancestry, it is from my personal experience. When my Kundalini energy rose four and half years ago, I began to understand my purpose in this world, and why I am here. It came as a shock to me as it totally dispelled my fundamental belief system. I also experienced a psychological crisis that provided a reboot, of sorts, to my psychological and mental system.
I began to recall past life experiences, sense others’ feelings and thoughts, feel others physical and emotional pain, and use my energy to heal others. During this time, I have been healing my own emotional wounds that my soul has carried around for many lifetimes. What I experienced in these past four and half years was to truly learn about myself, and to know my true self. Gone are the days of living through ego and identifying with the smaller self.
Even spiritual people can delude themselves into believing that as long as we are positive, which to me means passive and nonconfrontational, or possess intuitive powers, we have transcended or have become enlightened. This is simply untrue. To transcend and become enlightened is to have awareness of who we really are, whether good or bad, and to live a conscious life making choices that help and do not hurt or injure others.
There are plenty of spiritual people causing harm, creating emotional or physical pain to others, and using spirituality to justify their actions. This is not enlightenment, but corruption and abuse of spiritual teachings regardless of their religious affiliation. Hurting ourselves or others whether they are our loved ones or strangers go against any religious teachings.
True spirituality is living this authentic life that is to come to terms with all that is positive and negative within us, and to change our lives toward a higher path. Search your soul, and you will hear the voice of your higher self telling you the harm and hurt you have caused yourselves, those you love, and even strangers by your past behaviors and actions. May you find your authentic life. (Copyright 2015 Awakening Journey with All Rights Reserved)
